Lubor is a psychologist, university teacher and certified psychotherapist with 20 years of experience. He completed his Master's Degree in Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Sciences of the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra. He successfully completed his Doctorate Degree in the field of Pedagogical, Counseling and School Psychology. In addition to long-term psychotherapy training in the Person-Centered Approach at the PCA Institute in Prague, he completed several other trainings and workshops, including courses in Emotion-focused Therapy and Emotion-focused Therapy for Couples, in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Focusing, in Applied Clinical Psychophysiology and in the treatment of the consequences of trauma with an Integrative Approach combining Play Therapy and Family Therapy. He is also a member of the Slovak Psychotherapeutic Society, the Slovak Chamber of Psychologists, the Slovak Psychological Society and the Czech Association of Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy.
His professional experience comprises of several backgrounds, counseling both adolescent and adult clients, as well as psychodiagnostics of children with learning and speech disorders and ADD/ADHD. In addition, he is working on various publications and as an Assosicate Professor at the Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica.
Lubor specializes in the psychological aspects of the decision-making process, personality and emotional intelligence. In his counseling and psychotherapy practice, he works with adolescents from 15 years of age and adult clients, including providing couples counseling and leading groups with a focus on self-knowledge and development. Frequent counseling topics may be the feelings of stagnation, helplessness, anxiety and fear, as well as questions of identity or processing a traumatic experience. Lubor works under supervision and consults in the Slovak language.
